Sasha Cohen on Ellen
Had to add this - I was so happy to see Sasha Cohen on Ellen! Okay, all of you who know me know I love Ellen, but even an unbiased observer would have to agree with me on this one. Ellen was the FIRST person I've seen interview Sasha Cohen who told Sasha that she's proud of her and talked about how amazing it was that she managed to stick it out and come back to win silver! All those horrible NBC people were so mean to her. They concentrated on her losing the gold. HELLO! She won a silver medal. How many of us can say that? Getting silver is a HUGE accomplishment!
Though NBC is much better than CBS at showing the Olympics, the last two times (2004 and 2006) they had some MEAN people interviewing the athletes. Just once, I'd like one of the athletes to answer back something like, "Look, I just won a" (insert medal or medals here)! "How many of these have YOU won?" Perhaps Michael Phelps will do that in 2008. I was ready to snap at the lady interviewing him and I wasn't the one she was being nasty to...
Okay, sorry for the rant, but if you watched the Olympics, you have to have noticed the negativity. I was so happy to see Ellen interviewing Sasha Cohen and concentrating on what a great job she did! Go Sasha!
