In Escrow - again
Keep your fingers crossed for us - we're in escrow
AGAIN... That's right, our condo has hopefully found another buyer. Until I hear from escrow that everything is closed out, I won't believe it, but in theory we will close escrow on May 16th and the condo will no longer be ours.
Things with our new house are going wonderfully. If you like peaches and live close, let me know. We have hundreds (not stretching the truth at all, I've never seen a tree with so much fruit on it, I'll have to post a picture when they get bigger) of peaches growing on our tree. We have a lot of Fugi apples growing, too, so let us know if you're into either. They'll all be ripe at about the same time and there's no way we can eat all of them.
The raspberry bushes we heard so much about when we were buying the house are no longer there (which explains why we couldn't find them), but at least we know raspberries thrive in our yard, so we'll have to add some raspberry, blackberry, and blueberry bushes! We have some room and want to tear out some of the things we'll never eat.
We just got our new couch (it was ready in under 2 weeks!) from Salmo's and if you're in Orange County I highly recommend them. Custom couch built to order, totally comfortable, in less than 2 weeks! We're definitely going to get our theatre room and upstairs bonus room couches there when we get to that point in our house. For now, I'm still looking forward to the majority of the upstairs being painted, getting the wallpaper done in our bedroom, and tearing out and completely redoing our master bath. Who knows how much of this will be done fore everyone to see around the time of the wedding. Everyone will just have to keep coming back to see what else we've done to our house!
Last night's Tori Amos concert was
amazing!!! Of course, you all know I love Tori (why else would I name one of my first cats after her), but this concert was so wonderful! She did almost all songs I hadn't seen her perform live before. She kept doing that this concert and really changed her set every show. She's always done that, but to me it seemed she took extra care to make sure that even those who are following her around the country would see a fresh show every night. We even got to see her first performance ever of a couple songs, which was cool. I can't wait for the second half of the tour. She's going to Austrailia and Europe on her own and then touring the US again with the band. So exciting! I just hope that the timing works out with the wedding and honeymoon, otherwise, I'll have to fly somewhere to see her on the second US leg of the tour.
Keep your fingers crossed that escrow works out for us this time. Our escrow officer said the third escrow always closes okay, so I hope she's right with us!
